A Breath Of Fresh Air – Chaka Ranch

Sometimes the hustle and bustle of town life (Nairobi) can become too much. The traffic is insane and it feels like there are so many people. Last weekend, I felt like I needed a change of scenery so I decided to combine all my favorite things; road trips, friends, fun, and relaxation. I decided to head down to Nyeri. It took us about 2hrs because we kept stopping to take pictures of different places but let me tell you it was worth it… We were looking for a breath of fresh air.

1st stop, was Chaka Ranch. Chaka ranch is a nice fun filled place where people can go quad biking and to drive doom buggys.

Its more family oriented though unlike the other place in Athi River (which I will talk about some other time). It was simply amazing and fun. We got to go quad biking in the rain and even though we got drenched, it was such a fun experience I would do it all over again.

After all the fun and adrenaline that we released, we then decided to relax a little so we continued our road trip and went to Mount Kenya Safari Club for tea. Yes I said tea; unfortunately it is all we could afford… Hey I’m on a budget! 🙂

It may be way out of town but the beautiful scenery, luck of traffic and fresh air was all worth it. The best part, was the journey. I had hours to bond with friends and catch up with the happenings in their lives… we shared jokes, emotions, fears, stories even advice and that I cant put a price on.

Until next time…

Love the short posting and the photos. Keep it up! Just a polite request, could you include an estimate of costs. To avoid an awkward situation when I visit 🙂 .
