Barneys Airstrip

The most obvious place to stop before you even go on a road trip is Viewpoint.

To me though, view point is more than just a stop over; it’s a place I go to think and relax as I get my mind off things. After a long hard week or when I am feeling stressed, I like to drive up there and just stare. It makes me feel small in such a big world. The nature, beauty, and wind from that spot brings some sort of calm and joy to my life.

So after all the beautiful scenery and pictures, we continued with our drive to Nanyuki.

This time, we were going to a nice little restaurant called Barneys. What is special or rather different about this restaurant? This restaurant is on the Nanyuki airstrip. Yes, you read that correct. I must say, I loved watching the planes fly in and fly out.

Now lets talk about the food… I ordered a pizza and let me tell you, it was one of the best pizza’s I have ever had. The lunch was super enjoyable and the view of the planes really made my afternoon.

Looking for a nice cosy joint to stop for lunch… I will definitely tell you to pass by Barneys; so that you can enjoy lunch by the airstrip.
